10:30 amToday has been a horribly awful day. All I have been doing is fighting with my exabout money. He is so irresponsible. He has nothing that he has to focus on other than himself. While I am considering filing for bankruptcy because I can't pay my bills (most of it is because he didn't pay any taxes all year and so I had to fork out about 7000 dollars to send to the IRS) he is farting around doing his own thing. "I want to finish school." is what he says. That is fine, but there are other things then that you need to sacrifice, not you family or your son. What about your stupid band that has gone nowhere. "It is going to be bringing in alot of money when we finish the album and it starts getting distributed." That is what every bands dream is. Does it happen for every band? NO! I have been trying to get him to just be responsible on his own. If he doesn't then I will have the courts remind him that he has a son and a responsibility. If we were still together, our son would have such a carefree happy life for a 7 year old. But now my ex has a carefree happy life for a 24 year old. But our son has a rough life. What is wrong with this picture? I told him that I am going to get Child Support Enforcement involved and they will have a lawyer for our son so that he can get what he needs. I told him that if he can just be responsible without getting the courts involved I won't do it. But he has to do it himself. I doubt that he will.I just wish that I could financially do it on my own so I wouldn't have to have anything to do with him at all.

there are other alternatives to filing bankruptcy. In the past I was in a bad place finacially and contacted CCCS \"Consumer Credit Counciling Service\". They can work with you and even give exceptions for you considering your recent divorce and single parent status. Who needs your ex? You can be independant without filing bankruptcy or trying to haggle it out of him. I would still get a court order for him to pay for Child support. Many men need a legal reminder of what is most important in life...It is not themselves... Hello?! I hope it all works out for you~! ~E

I am sorry you had a bad day. Sometimes people never grow up. You think they are men but they aren\'t anything close to being a man. Your son is entitled to child support. That is his right. Your ex has to pay up. Sometimes people just have to have their arm twisted in order to do the right thing.
Stay strong.
Lots of hugs & love to both you & your son
