Pain

Need to vent. Am tired of the almost-constant pain. Before dx I never associated MS with pain. Now it is one of my daily and nightly challenges. OTC meds help a bit, occasionally. NSAIDs have not helped at all. No difference with PT or massage. Am considering a consult with a pain management specialist though my PCP is not in favor of this. Thankfully, prayer and meditation do help. My husband has to hear all my moaning, groaning, and complaining on a daily basis. No fun for him - thankful for his support.
Okay - pity party over.

Did u ever try eating a Gluten-Free Diet? I use to suffer in silence at work (u can\'t cry in front of 2nd graders). Then while my family was eating dinner I would go up to my bedroom and cry. For some reason crying made me feel better, mentally. A friend of mine had been trying to convince me to eat gluten-free for years saying it might help, but I just didn\'t have time while I was working. Once I retired I started eating gluten-free and within 3 days all of my pain ended. It doesn\'t happen for all, but it doesn\'t hurt to try.

I briefly went gluten-free but \'fell off the wagon\' and have not given it another chance. Thanks for the suggestion - I will refocus.

I try to avoid gluten, and it does seem to help reduce the pain I get in my gums. . .
