Our children are special GIftsI wanted to share this with you all. When I found out I was going to have a child I was so scared. I didn't even tell Harry until I was 6 months pregnant. When I no longer could hide it from him. We were not married nor where we dating at this time in our life. But that is not what I want to write about today. During my pregnancy God was really working in my life, I was a baby christian. And always considered this my first testimony or major test  with whether I was going to stand for righteouness or go the other way. GOd reminded me at this time that he is there. And he wouldn't give me anything that I wasn't equipped to do. I felt like Moses so inadequate to be a mother. And Moses felt he could tell the people of God's plan. My husband stood by me. And helped me so much. He cooked and made sure his child was eating healthy for I worked in a place that fast food would be easy to eat, and hoagies were there right at my finger tips. Matt hated the smell of coffee so everytime someone made coffee i got sick for 9 months. I was addicted to coffee 12 cups a day at the least. But GOd took care of that. When choosing a name for Matt is wasn't easy. But we felt like this little guy was our gift. Our gift from God. Harry being 46 at the time. Was just so pleased with the gift. Now all children are different they all have different gifts, and different attitudes. aS, parents we need to realize this. We need to deal with them with this aspect in mind. What works for one may not work for the other. During grief all children deal with things different. My son is very caring to the needs of others. So when someone dies around us I see him wanting to be the comforter to them. Has always been that way. When his dad died, he had this peace about him that his dad was no longer in pain, and he was in heaven. I on the other hand was wreck. I couldn't understand why he didn't cry lash out, get angry. I tried to force him to open up. I thought inside he was pressing those feelings down. And we all know as mother I felt that he is going to be messed up for life because we lost Harry. And yes was I mad. As the months pass us by I see his grief. He gets very angry with me sometimes for no reason. Then I realize he wishes his dad was there at that moment. I notice that at times he really wants to talk about dad. At those times I need to let him. I guess what I am trying to say is we as parents need to spend time with them, let them be alone when they want to be alone, Let them talk when they need to talk. Just be there for them. Help them.Yes, children are our special gift. Let us walk with them and talk with them. Let us give them that hug for no reasons. Our children can teach us things we don't see. Remember they see things that we don't. Don't give up on them they need you and you need them. On other note: I am so proud of my child, last night he came home from school and told me he was picked to compete on the math team. This team can compete against other teams Nationally. And he also can be on ESPN.  I had to laugh to myself, because he may be on for math and not football. (his dream)Children are the gift to cherish every day of their life and every day of ours.
