Well good day to all my friends. I am feeling better today, maybe because I am working. Sometimes it so much beter to be busy then sitting home with nothen to do but house work. It gets my mind to thinking.I am trying to rejoice in today, knowing I have God who loves me and will provide me with all my needs, and one day I will be in paradise. My husband is no longer in pain, as the days draw closer to the 1year. I fret on how am I going to feel that day. I am sitting here thinking of his last month home. How he was so confused on everything, and I thought to myself oh boy, they over medicated him again, he is going to kill some one on the road. I really question doctors when they do not take their lisc. away when they are on so many meds. my Husband was in about 20 accidents in the last 4 years. never reinjuring himself, and only totaling one of the vans, the rest of the time it was just some cosmetics to the van. One time, the police came to our door, at night. He was in bed, my son was away. And the police officer said our van was in accident. Well, I asked when and he said in the afternoon. I went out back and saw the van dented up. He hit a park car. My husband claimed he was not driving and that he was a sleep. SOmeone took it for a ride, and parked it back in its spot,. Of course our insurance company paid for the other car. But needless to say, I was so angry, each time he had an accident I got mad. I started to write a journal of his confusion, in May 2006 and wanted his lisc. away. The doctors said with out the journal, they could not help me, For he went to the doctors every week and they said he was fine when he was there. They did not see that confusion. My son was scared to stay at home alone, so he spent time at his friends. On the week he passed away, he got in three accidents. I still have the dents on the van, because the insurance would not cover it. He hit fences. and then Thurs. he side swiped someone. That was it, I had had it, I just didn't want to see anyone get hurt. Not even him. SO I sent the journal to the doctors Friday afternoon pleaing that they evoke his driving lisc. I did not care what happen. I knew it would be harder on me. And he would go crazy with out his independence. He loved to drive. And loved that he could get out of the house once a day even if it was only for an hour. I had to protect others. My husband passed away, SUn morning, and we never had to walk that walk, I see it as a blessing we never had to evoke the lisc. But I do not understand, why they allow people to drive heavily medicated.have a good day, and be careful on the roads!!!

I understand that frustration. My husband had Diabetic Retinapothy and one of the hardest things for him was to admit he couldn\'t see well enough to drive. It was a battle and I had to be the bad guy constantly telling him \"you can\'t do it\". Losing his independance was devestating to him, and it broke my heart to see him lose who he was. Those are still very painful memories. I\'m glad you\'re feeling a little better. The one year anniversary is tough, although I think the anticipation of it is harder than the actual day. After that benchmark things should start getting a little easier or you.
