Computer went down last night at home. But I will worry about that later. Before I start today. I wanted to share with you all a moment I had last night.
Last night my son's chorus performed at school. It is part of their grade, in music. When we got there I saw a bunch of old friends, this was refreshing. As I sat there listening to the jazz band perform, my chest got tight and my heart felt ache, and the tears came. I sat there alone. Crying, Crying for what. Here I sat alone saying oh I can't believe I am crying because he is not here to share this with me. If I am crying over this little concert, how will I be when he graduates, gets married, etc. Oh boy was a bunch of emotions and thoughts running in my head. And I thought to myself, there were other concerts I was alone, for Harry couldn't get out of bed, due to the pain. And I never cried before. I sat there praying I would not loose it. And Matt would not see me crying. After the band finished the chorus came on. At that moment, peace filled my heart. I watched him walk down to the stage. And thought that boy needs a hair cut. He looked handsome. I sat there staring at him. Watching him sing. It was beautiful. They even sung a song, I know Harry would have enjoyed. And when it was all done, I told Matt his dad would have been there cheering him when he heard that song. He smiled. And we went out for milk shakes. A wonderful memory I will cherised. I wonder why so many families don't see the moment as a gift but as another committment.
Let us all sing to the Lord for the memories we cherish and for the gifts he has given us!!!!
