Today, I am searching for the little things that make me happy. I feel like I am climbing this huge mountain. And I don't see the top in sight. Let me say this much I am not complaining. Because I know my dear husband is in no pain, and at the foot of Jesus. God has given me the peace and hope. I think about how life was. And what it is now. I am just on this journey. I may not be use to being a one parent family. Or just one income coming in. But I do have the Lord and he is here guiding me. And when I am not listening or seeking the wisdom, the enemy sure does attack.
Let me reflect on Spring time with my husband. Just about now he would be looking at our grass and saying how we would have to resead again this year. And this would be the year my son and his friends could not play on the lawn. HA HA. My son uses the yard as a football and lacrosse field. That will probally not change until he is 17 and working and doesn't have time to play tackle football out front. One of my cherished memories, about spring time is the fact when we cleaned up the yard from the winter and cooked on the grill and ate out on the tables. I remember our first year we were married. I worked 11 hour days on the weekend. And when I got home he was standing there at the grill with dinner almost done. Wow, they were the days because now adays, I have trouble planning the meals, and feel like our eating habits have gone down the tubes. And I justify it with well we eat breakfast healthy and as a family. I can't wait to the temp. rises, calling for low 70's this weekend. maybe I will grill.

Your post makes me want to treasure every moment I have with my husband and family. You never know when a loved one may be gone and the life you once knew forever changed. I\'m so sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing your precious memories with us. God bless you. Love, Kathy
Aren\'t precious memories bittersweet? They can make you smile and cry at the same time. Its important to remember and important to write them down because one day you\'ll want to curl up underneath that blanket of loving thoughts.
Those precious memories are your roses in winter.
