Happy Monday!!!
What a weekend only had two crying all out freak out. That is not bad. And I got some sleep.
Found some old photos of the day our son was born. So I thought I would write about that month before.
It was August 17th 1994 a rainy rainy day. I was tired just got back from a meeting went to Harry's apartment to sleep, knew work wouldn't call there. But instead the phone rang, Harry was in the er. He wanted me to go and clear out the car, grab his brief case and come to the hospital. At that moment I told him I love you. The first time in 8 months. I just knew that God wanted us together at that point. I cried. I prayed, and then peace over took me. I knew God was going to be glorified in this situation. What ever it was. And since I had the fear of driving. I called my dear friend and asked her to drive me. Of course she was right there.
there. When we got to the car, it looked like a sandwich. And I don't know how they got him out. My heart was aching, My hands were sweating, and here stood an 8 month pregnant women going oh what is he going to look like.
I got to the hospital he was in pain. But in good spirits. It was his night cook and told me I would have to do it.
As he crawled in the apartment. He told me how take care of him. Like I wouldn't know. Any way the results said he had a bruise back go to therapy. After 4 weeks of therapy he was worst than ever. I had to leave work early for maternity, because he needed me home. he couldn't move. Due to the lovely laws, we could not see a specialist for 30 days after the accident. Today the law reads 90 days. When we got the specialist he admitted him right away, he said your back is broke. And I don't know how you are walking or living. The spine was broken, and was being held by a fusion that he he got in the 70's It looked like a stretched out rubber band. My Harry was yelling at the doctor. Are you crazy my child is due today. She is the one going to the hospital. He said no you are going. Well we went over to the hospital and sat there in the er for 9 hours. Until I went upstairs. ANd asked the nurse, not nicely where is his bed, and can I make it since they were taking so long. He was in a bed in 20 minutes. Don't mess with a 9 month pregnant women. He had the surgery in four days. And our life would change forever.
