Better day

Hey, I don't know if anyone is reading this or not, I guess I am writing to help myself more than anything as it has helped quite alot just venting out.
I have been seeking help and reading other peoples problems on various websites and I have taken on board alot of advice others have wrote on peoples forums, I have tried some various methods that people have offered and its worked, cheered me up for a few hours at least.
My house is a disaster zone and I read someone else having similar problems in that area so I took someones advice to them and that was to *not focus on the whole mess, focus on 1 bit, like a work surface, a table, worktop, sink, just one thing and once you have cleaned it keep it clean* and I did just that, I walked into my kitchen and I had that familiar feeling when I looked at my kitchen, all I wanted to do was curl into a ball and scream and cry but I didn't do that, I looked at my kitchen counter and I actually spoke to it and i said *F**k you! I am going to clean you and I am not going to stop until your spotless* and thats exactly what I did, I cleaned and scrubbed it until it was clean and every time I go into my kitchen and look at that one clean work surface it makes me smile, another bit of advice I took was *when you get to that dark point and you wanna give up, make yourself do something that you really enjoy* so I did and that was to cook some pancakes, I love cooking and baking and I love to eat, so I whipped up a simple eggless pancake recipe i seem to have perfected over the years and I felt slightly better cooking and eating those pancakes made me feel less empty.
I know these feelings of happiness will not last but sometimes even if my mood picks up just for an hour, it makes alot of difference and it makes me feel slightly more positive even for just that short while, anyways I am rambling on.
If anyone actually reads this, always feel free to send me a message or comment on this, positive feedback is more welcomed but negative feedback is allowed to >^_^<

I became a minimalist about 2 years ago and it really got "serious" this past summer. I still work hard to keep my surroundings picked up, clean and neat. But I have very few "things". It changed my outlook a lot.
Best of luck.
