Well I am happy to say , that it was the first time I put my foot down since his infidelity incident. I typically would put my feelings aside, in fear of him walking. Like I said, that feeling of being on probation, if I did or said the wrong thing, or acted too head-strong he would use it as an excuse to leave. It has been building for the last 5 months and I finally bursted, got to the point I didnt care if he walked. I mean fearing it wears on you ,to the point you realize that you just might as well get it over with. The other night when I felt disregarded and disrespected as he laughed at TV I posted a myspace and showed it as divorced. WELL, the next morning my hubby checked the history on computer and found my mini-ad. He was ballistic and even had the nerve to say it was un-forgivable that I did that. I laughed, comparing that to what he did,is a joke. I explained that I am DONE thats why I did it,if we reconciled I would have removed it. He was still irate and called me trash and stated how it is time for a new beginning. (I assumed he was referring to giving the OW a chance). I did not break down even at that. I stood strong. By the end of the day his attitude changed , he stated how sad and dissappointed he was and how he really loved me and how could i question this? I think that he tried to keep the upper hand but when it didnt work he surrendered. We talked/argued all night but the end result was that he really wants this marriage and really loves me and as long as I feel really loved, respected and regarded, so do I! Standing my ground was a risk that I thought was going to bring us to an end. But I am happily here to announce that it actually gave me more security in our relationship and gave me back some ground, so I can feel we are a team!!
