Busy day yesterday, stephen to the psyc dr. at 9, both at counsler at 3, and day before Davids school called and said"we found a razor blade on him and he HAS been self mutilating, we need you here as soon as you can"-HUH,i freaked! called hubby, called counsler, while shaking all the way to town, get there and he had been whittling and stuck blade in pocket(he does that), and his "cuts" were where the iguana scratched him when we took the family pic i posted on here. RELIEF!!!    Apparently dr. discussed things with Stephen yesterday that confused him cause counsler wants him back tomorrow to exp;ain better. My dr. thinks i should go to the counsler too, to get "the help i need" That is not what i feel I need, how can seeing someone once every couple weeks help when things change daily and sometimes hourly, I don't know the words to describe how i feel don't know if there are words for it. Been feeling down again, dr. did up the prozac so we'll see. Hoping everyone is having better day. luv ya all

I find that talking to someone every couple weeks DOES help...there is always something that he says that helps me...so maybe you should try it. We have so much on us...just normal stuff and then add in the loss of a child and our grief and the grief of our families...it is overwhelming. Let them help you...that with meds should make a difference. I am glad that your son is not a cutter...but watch him anyway...they can be very sneaky about it and lie....my daughter Hillary was a cutter until about 2 years ago. It doesn\'t mean that they want to kill themselves...but...kids that cut do it to cope...so keep your eyes open. Love to you...Karen

Counselor might not be a bad idea. It\'s sometimes good to talk to someone. Glad things all worked out for the better. Take Care of U. Love and Hugs.

Tony was 14 when his father died. Tony also manifest his grief in anger. He starting sleeping in the crawl space under the house. He was VERY ANGRY. I took him to a counselor too. I had to DRAG him to the counselor. It didn\'t do any harm and he understood that I loved him and wanted to do anything I could to make things better. I spoke with the counselor. However, I am not speaking with anyone over the death of Tony and his loss has been much worse. (I know that sounds terrible) but losing my only child has been much worse than losing a husband. I say go with the counseling it is a win win situation.
