Yay!
7 days down! Feeling wonderful. Getting a ton of sleep, loosing weight, working out, reading and cooking more. Had a moment of stress yesterday which normally I would have just ran to some alcohol. But instead did what I could to move past it ( learned from counseling for anxiety that it is better to do something than just sit around and dwell on the problem) and kept in my mind that there are things in life you can't control but you can control how you let it effect you. And this was not ruining my day! It worked and no cravings for alcohol. I just keep remembering it is not one or two drinks I want, that would just make me crabby and needy for more. What I really want is to drown myself in alcohol and just keep going and that will never work out good. It does suck though how come there are so many people my whole life that could eat whatever they wanted and never gain weight? I eat a candy bar and gain 10 lbs so I have worked hard non stop to stay at a healthy weight. Now I know for real which I was hoping I still had but I don't, the fact that people can drink responsibly and I never can. It's just not fair to have to work hard at things all people don't have to. But I guess god made me this way because he knew I could eventually handle it and figure it out. Also scheduling non alcohol activities at night are helping because before I would have avoided these things in fear of pushing back my drinking. 2 hour massage tonight :)

Great job! Keep it up! Good idea scheduling in sober activities. And yes it can be maddening sometimes, and wondering why some people are \"normal\" drinkers... And why we are not.
Keep up the good work! I\'m the same way about food. 18 years ago I lost 100lbs and kept it off. It\'s a struggle but you can do it!
