Day 3
I'm beginning Day 3 of sobriety. I'm a little tired today but I feel excellent. Day 1 was significantly more difficult than Day 2 for me. On Day 1 I really struggled with not drinking and kept telling myself I could only have one, as I had so many other days in the past. But, I did it. Day 2 I kept myself extremely busy which helped a lot and I'd rather be productive than wasting time drinking.
I found myself snacking a lot more than usual which leads me to believe that I'm trying to replace the drinking with something else to comfort myself.
I feel good today as opposed to hungover and wonder why I didn't realize that even though I like the way I feel when I'm drinking, the way I would feel all other times would be like garbage. Why did I let that happen for so long?
Today I will keep busy again, although I may go play cards after work. I will have to evaluate whether or not I should do that since a lot of people there will be drinking. Not sure if it's a good idea.
