I have been having lots of bleeding upon bleeding upon bleeding. I have fibroid. I known this I had them for a few years, but recently the bleeding started. I was referred to a gynecologist. I used to bleed so much in one day that I would lose 2gms off my number and have to get blood transfusions. I had 2 in December. I recently underwent surgery on Jan. 7. I was suppose to have a ablation, but unable so I had a D&C and hysterscopy. I went to be seen in the office today for a followup and because I was having a lot of pain. I was told that the pathology report came back and it showed atypical cell and some necrosis, possible sarcoma. I was in total shock as they proceeded to set me up a referral to the gynecologist oncologist , so they can get his opinion and course of treatment. I was told that IF he decide to take over my care, I needed to cancel my appointment with their office. I am a nurse, so I know what beating around the bush is, I see it everyday when I work. I didn't even ask if I had cancer or what there opinion was. I just figure if you have to see a oncologist it is pretty cut and dry.
