You\'ll do fine! Just speak from your heart and everything else will take care of itself. You ARE strong, and you can get through this healing process. And, yes, I believe that your mother loves you very much. I\'m sure that your right - that she too has difficulties and needs help. She may even feel guilt, and she may be able to start her own recovery after you heal. But take care of yourself - that is who your responsible for. You have such a very beautiful soul and that shows in so many ways, including your concern for your mother. Remember though, it\'s her job to work on her issues. Again, I\'m so very proud of you for taking these steps.!!!!
Hi Sweetie. Well I\'m a little bummed that you didn\'t get the inpatient thing. And i dont like how she asked u to go outside. Ive learned from you, that she\'s very sneaky, and tells you what she wants to tell you. If she was talking about YOU, and planning your recovery help, then YOU should have been able to listen. I still wonder if that inpatient place really said they are booked up and you cant come. Then she hooks you up with a counselor. Why couldn\'t she try more inpatient places, or call around asking about some. I dont think she wants you out of the house. BUT. I guess you have to do the best with what you have now. You did not likt the last counselor right? And you already think you like this one? That\'s good. because you usually will know right away. I LOVE my new counselor, myself!! So I want to give you advice, to be very open. As much as you can comfortably be. Dont hold anything back to protect anyone!! (Like your mom, or brother). Say whatever you feel like at the time. The more open you are, the more she can help you, and give you suggestions. Also, you can explain to her all about the inpatient place, and how excited u were to go. Tell her how bummed u r that that didnt happen. You can explain that you thought it would be far more helpful than 1 hour a week, because you have deep stuff and that would have been constant around the clock care. More likely to get at your issues, and help better. Maybe she can offer some help in that area without your moms influence!!! But good luck! Dont be nervous. You will feel better on some level right away, knowing you are getting some help.
I\'m so happy for you. You will do fine you will see. Just let things happen in their own time. Don\'t try to push yourself. I\'m rooting for you.
im glad u got a new counceler but dont feel bad about your mom, my mom did the same thing when i was having to do counceling with her about my abuse, dont put her before you, thats what they want, you come first...
