Just Thinking..
I have had this stupid, frustrating, annoying illness for over seven years now and my first two years of predominant symptoms were exhaustion beyond words. No amount of sleep was enough or restful. Since my diagnosis, I have been divorced, moved twice and gained and lost employment three times now. I finished my Bachelor's degree but it is of no help to me when I can barely function most days and definitely can't work. Because I have no partner/spouse to help support me, I have had to move in with my parents, whom I'm SO thankful for.. and have them help me. BUT.. they have their own problems, and how fair is it for me to suddenly be their dependent again. I have my own child, a teenager, who has suffered in her own way at the mercy of my living my life in bed.
I just get so frustrated sometimes and don't know what to do. I probably would have committed suicide some time ago if I weren't fortunate enough to have a daughter and loving parents. I know other people have it worse, and I know I have good days.. which I am so thankful for, but some days it feels so hopeless. There are very few doctors who seem to truly understand without belittling the symptoms/disease, and so many more who don't have the answers/information to help, so they pass along the "exercise and you'll feel better" and send you on your way. Everything that helps costs so much, and the illness robs me of the ability to work (and have a life in general) so then I have no money to help myself, let alone live life or buy things for my daughter.
Just thinking that this support group is fantastic and I'm glad to find people who understand and may even have some good advice at times. I hope to be a suport to someone else and maybe that will help me find some bit of purpose for now since I am so frustrated . Thanks for letting me vent..
