FYI

Hello Sisters of the Heart - I wanted to share a website that I have come across which has alot of good information on grief, healing, etc. after the death of a child. It is CarlyMariehealingproject
Did you know that the first Sunday in May is the international holiday for Bereaved Mothers? That would be tomorrow, dear sisters. I dread Mothers Day...I always picture all these families celebrating and enjoying their moms/ daughters/sons....I know that isn't true for everyone but that is often where I go in my mind. I find myself wishing and hoping things were different...I find myself missing my Jennifer so much as others talk about their Mothers Day....so in saying that - for me to know tomorrow is a day for Moms whose children are not walking on this earth anymore, somehow helps me. It's a day that a thoughtful mom out of her own need, made this day happen for US.......
Tomorrow I will hold all of you in my heart along with your precious children and light a candle, buy some flowers and through my tears celebrate my daughter's life and be thankful I am her mom.
Sending hugs and love your way!!! Vicki

I got an FB post from a friend in England telling me that we have a day. I feel this is our day. On Mothers\' Day, I just try to avoid my mom friends who have all their children on this earth.
Wishing you love and peace , M

Thank you for this info, Vicki! I did not know about the special day for Berieved Mothers. These past 5 days I had the opportunity to visit Colleen\'s grave, but I just could not go. I did not go. I don\'t know why, but now I am hurting and crying inside......

Thank you for this information and I\'m thinking of each of us with much tenderness and respect. As Erma Bombeck said she could think of no mother who deserves more appreciation and respect than one who had to give a child or their children back. That has remained tucked away in my heart for quite some time now.

Gentle and loving care to Jennifer\'s mom from Douglas\' mom today and in the days ahead.

I am just now (Tuesday), reading your journal, so I missed our special day. I had no idea it existed, but hopefully we will remember it next year. Thanks, for sharing :)
