I think my short term memory is getting worse. I just took 2 antibiotics (take 2 for 1st dose) and put them in my hand. I put them in my mouth and swallowed. Then I saw the ibuprofen I had taken out and thought, "Oh, no. What did I just take?" When I took the antibiotics, I thought I was taking the ibuprofen. Fortunately, a did remember a couple of minutes later. It seems like my memory has been worse this week than it has ever been. Forgetting kids' names, losing my place, making a doctor's appt. and then nearly forgetting about it.... Oh yeah, I went in the bathroom to wash my face--take make-up off--only to discover that I'd already done it! I don't remember doing it the first time, either, but I must have.I started coughing again this week...that barky, croupe cough. I found out that it is caused when the sinuses drain and some of the phlegm gets stuck in the vocal cords. Then an hour of coughing until I can sleep again. It only bothers me at night. I don't feel ill, but know that if I don't get rid of this, I will get quite sick again.My passport came in the mail today. My first passport--it is kind of cool! Now I need to make sure that Jack gets one. It didn't take long at all to get it--about twelve days maybe.  My eyes have been seeing things again this week. I thought I saw a person in our driveway as I drove up to the garage. Not. This evening I saw this huge black cat...when I looked again, there was nothing there. Hmmmm.... I used to see things through perphireal vision--now it is looking straight ahead that I am seeing stuff. The stuff that I 'see' has also gotten much larger. Another symptom (possibly) that I have noticed is trembling. My hands trembled/shook a little yesterday during Mass when I had them together in prayer. I discovered that if I applied pressure from each hand so that my hands were locked together tightly, they shook more. The further apart and more loosely that I held my hands, the less they shook, or didn't shake at all. I read at the noon Mass every Sunday this month. I love to be lector. Since I am now going to Mass on Sunday rather than Saturday evening, I'm taking my Avonex injections on Friday nights. Last weekend I had the Avonex injection and a flu shot. Today I had a shot to prevent getting pneumonia as well as the Avonex. I've had more than my share of shots this week!
