Friday was a long day. By period 6, I was completely exhausted. I couldn't wait until 4:00 so I could go home. As it turned out, I wound up working a 12 hour day again as grades are due. Driving home (only about 6-7 blocks) was interesting. Instead of my peripheral vision playing tricks on me, my 'regular' vision went wacky seeing things that weren't there. I thought I saw a person, a rodent, and something else (can't remember). Hmmmm....    At Mass this evening I was suprised when I couldn't recall part of a prayer that I've known for years! At first, I thought it was a fluke until it happened again.....and then again....    Got my flu shot today. The nurse (Anette) also recommended (upon finding out I will be in Europe next summer) that I get the Hepatitis A series of shots.     I see Dr. R. in two weeks unless I can get my appt. changed so that I can see him here since he comes here once a month now I've been told. I hope I don't have to drive the 180 mile (round trip) for an appt. I'll have to call his office next week.     The internship is going...that's about it...it's just 'going'. It's not as stressful anymore and I have ideas for the assignments, so it should be okay. Just need to get the assignments done! It's hard to keep up with my own classes plus have assignments to do myself! Teaching takes so much of my time. Sometimes I wonder about getting the '9 to 5' job where you can go home and leave the job at the job. The school year can be stressful due to the hours required. So many people think that we have 'June-August' off. What they don't realize is that we don't get paid for those three months and that many teachers need to find other sources of income in the summer. We also put in so many hours during the school year that we may need the next three months (or 10 weeks) to unwind, relax, and recharge our batteries.    Enough. Good night.
