Hooray! Mike found my glasses! Cancelled the new pair. What a relief. It is so nice to have them again. Now I can correct papers (can't wait....lol). Cough started coming back--I'd better go back on the steroids. I stopped taking them. Just forgot to take them and then decided I probably didn't need them. Wrong. Tomorrow is Friday! Yes! I'm waiting for time off. I don't mind teaching--I like the kids--but the hours and the workload are too long and too much.Learned that another former student died this past weekend as a result of drinking and driving. Joe Peterson was the driver and was killed after going to a party. Joe was a triplet and one of his brothers was also in the car--airlifted to a hospital in the south eastern part of the state. I have heard that Dion, the brother, will be okay. No one else in the car was injured. One car accident--loss of control and rolled. Poor Joe. I had him in English I two years ago. He wasn't currently attending our high school as far as I know. The funeral is Saturday. So sad and so needless. Joe is the fourth student to lose his life from the class of 2008. The class of 1999 had similar tragedies--I think they've now lost six in their class--two before graduation and four after. I'm going to meet some friends for dinner so I'd better wrap this up. Hope that my two teacher friends can give me some much-needed advice regarding what to do with my internship.
