I've been wondering if it would happen and today it did. I tripped over a student's backpack, could not regain my balance and down I went. The floor is concrete with carpet, but the carpet is very thin so the floor is hard. I skinned my right need (through my nylons and skirt) as I slid on my knees when I fell. My right hand and knee took the brunt of the fall. I probably would have tripped whether I had MS or not. No real injury, except to my pride perhaps. The students didn't laugh, anyway, so I appreciated that. Not feeling well this p.m. Started coughing so hard that my throat was just burning. Went to clinic and saw a PA. She said it was from allergies and gave me a bunch of sample Allegra. Not working. I've also had a headache for two days. She did order some bloodwork to be done when I showed her what my legs look like; they are so ugly--blotchy, scarred, bruised. I used to like my legs, but now that are quite the sight. Overall, school went quite well. I have two classes that I have to really stay on top of as they are a bit on the rowdy side. It looks like it will be another good school year. Started my internship today during my prep. I think it might be easier to do than I had thought it would be. Which just goes to show that we often worry about nothing! Time for bed.

Ouch! I\'m glad the kids didn\'t laugh -- they really DO know when something is serious -- but I know what a bruising your pride must have taken. I\'m glad you\'re OK physically, minus the allergies. Hang in there and have a great school year!
Youre doing great! Your positive attitude will get you through. I am glad that you are alright after that fall, sounds like a rough one. Feel better soon.
