2nd day of inservice. Dr. Charles Faye was the speaker and he was fantabulous! Excellent message/examples/learning about Love and Logic, but hilarious at the same time. What more can one ask for? The only thing I really didn't care for was sitting all day--this is so hard for me to do. The auditorium was kind of stuffy since it was packed--over 700 people. Still uneasy about doing the internship, assignments, and my job all at the same time. Now it looks like I'll need to finish my final project by spring so that I can do the defense. I had wanted to defend it during summer and have more time to finish it (less stress), but it is my understanding that I will be in Rome or Australia with the youth group when summer defenses take place! Oh, well. I'll be glad in the long run, I'm sure, that I am done (hopefully!) by the end of May. Kids start on Thursday. I'm going to give Love and Logic a try again. I already use some of it, just need to use even more as it is pretty common sense classroom management. I need to remember not to react if my reaction will be perceived as negative. Consequences can be delayed...give myself time to think...then act.
