This will be short as the school year has officially begun once again and I need to get more sleep than I did last year. I am tired after a full day of work. Interesting speaker on bullying this a.m., but I had so much trouble just 'sitting' and listening for three hours. P.M. meeting--interesting. Then the day was over. We actually got 90 minutes for lunch (almost unheard of in school). Phyllis was using a really neat step stool that was like a step ladder only it had really wide, sturdy 'steps'. I climbed up two of the steps and didn't have balance issues. I need to get one of these--especially for washing windows. Our step ladder is certainly usable, but I really don't feel very safe on it anymore. Tomorrow we start our work day at 8:30 a.m. Our speaker, who is excellent, is Dr. Charles Faye, one of the founders (or the son of the founder) of the 'Love and Logic' Institute in Colorado. I've heard him present before. Hope he provides some new information since I've not only been to one of his sessions, but also taken a class on 'Love and Logic'. This is my 20th year teaching at this school. Our inservice topics seem to be in a repetitive mode. On the positive side, however, a refresher is good and provides for the latest information (usually). And, since the speaker will be talking to several schools besides us, we will be in the college auditorium with the comfortable seats!
