I've been meaning to write all week but just got too tired. So much homework! At least the homework for Inclusion is finished--I spent around 5 to 6 hours on it. I don't know why I have to be so thorough; many of the other students no doubt will just turn in a sentence or two and we'll all get the same grade (frustrating). At least I've perhaps learned a little more by being thorough.        I have a presentation on traumatic brain injury to get ready for Monday. I hope that my partner will have her part done--I think that she will. It's tough working with a partner who is in Washington Statethe week before the project is due. I also have another assignment due for this class on Monday.  It seems like all of the assignments come at once. All I really want to do now is enjoy the summer, but I always seem to have homework hanging over me.    Jack began his community service today--he helped Father Wilhelm move boxes--for his move to Fargo next week. I really don't want to see him go. Jack will help Father on Monday as well. He will get more of his community service done next week by painting the hockey/ice skating arena in the park across the street from us.    I started taking the LDN. I have forgotten a couple of times to take it, so I don't yet have a week's worth in my system. It is supposed to be taken at bedtime as then is when it is most effective. I'm not sure why. Something about how the body absorbs it, I think.    Because we are still getting rain every other day--and not just a sprinkle either--we have numerous mosquitoes that are very hungry. I got more mosquito bites in a few minutes today than I probably got for the entire summer last year. The town has sprayed a couple of times, but probably just put a tiny dent in the population. I've asked Mike to spray our yard himself as this has really helped for a week or two in the past.     I planted some perrenials yesterday as well as some annuals. I have so many volunteer moss roses, snapdragons, and marigolds. I think I will just get a few petunias for the front beds and call it good. I spent quite a bit on perrenials this year.     Mike is now on a 12 month contract. He actually has pretty much always worked the 12 month, but never been reimbursed for it. The advantage of the 12 month is that he has much greater flexibility with his vacation days. Betweeen the 11 month and 12 month contract, only 4 vacation days are different (11 month gets 4 more days and 3 personal days per year). Since he's never really taken his full vacation in past years, perhaps the 12 month will enable him to actually get the vacation days due him! I like having him at home.    I had to drive in 90 miles of rain again on Monday to go to class. I don't like driving that whole distance in the rain, but I did it. I so hope the rain will go away for a month or so! The ground is absolutely saturated.     A mouse got into my drawers again! We caught mouse #3. This is quite the record as we have probably had three mice total in the 17 years we've lived in the house. So once again, I am cleaning numerous drawers and all contents plus I have half of the cupboards done. Once they are all empty, we're going to put traps in each drawer/cupboard as wel think there may be more than one mouse yet---who knows, we might have an entire family of mice! Since mice may carry the virus Hantivirus, which can be deadly for many, I really want to get rid of all of these rodents.    Time for bed; eyes are closing.
