It's been awhile since I've written and lots has happened. Nothing earth-shattering, but some good things : - )

smiley-smile.gifFinished my online class with 100%. The feedback from the instructor was wonderful. This class has now proven to me that I have not lost my cognitive ability. Memory is still rotten, but I can still do the critical thinking necessary for education.

smiley-laughing.gifFound out last evening by going to my UND email (hadn't checked it for months so thought that I should) that I have been awarded two $400 scholarships--one for fall and one for winter semester. These will really help defray expenses for this degree!

The state called today--my driver's license has been approved so all I need to do is go and get my picture taken. Yay!

All in all, things are going well. I felt guilty for not doing more at the cabin over Memorial Day. I was just so tired, especially on Monday. I did do some work--mostly cooking kinds of things, and I did contribute to the work, but not nearly as much as the others. They were carrying up all of the old lumber from the boathouse that Mom has turned into a bunkhouse (so cute!). They had to haul the lumber and other stuff up the hill and throw it into a dumpster Mom had brought in. The dumpster was HUGE, but it was no problem filling it to overflowing. I thought briefly about trying to help, and then decided that I was just too tired. Instead, I took the dogs for walks so that they weren't in the way. Still, this just didn't feel like an equal contribution. Mom understood, or at least I think she did. Don't know about my sisters. I think they are pretty decent about it, though. No one said anything, but I just can't get past feeling guilty for not doing more. The truth of the matter is that I am so exhausted from the school year--I just need a break and do nothing. After preparing food for most of the afternoon on Monday and going for three dog walks, I discovered that my stomach had numb (slightly) areas--haven't experienced that since last summer. It has since gone away.

We're back home now and yesterday and today I've gotten some errands done and have been cleaning carpets a little at a time.  The areas that I have done look so much better! I am very glad that we invested in a carpet cleaner--it certainly has been used!

I start classes on Monday. Will go to class on Mondays and Wednesdays for six weeks. I have one class from 8:30 a.m. until noon both days and the other class is from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The afternoons will be used for errands and study/homework time!

Aaron will be moving into a new apartment this coming weekend and we will be traveling to GF to help him move. We will stay over until Monday--then I will go to my classes while Mike and Jack assist Aaron with his new 'digs'. Then home--how nice it will be to have someone else to drive after class on Monday! I'll feel spoiled.

Jack goes to ROTC camp this coming week. I'm just concerned about his getting his medication. He has meds. for depression, mood disorder, and ADHD. It's so important that he take them. We still give them to him, to make sure that he gets them twice per day. I know that we need to make him responsible for this.

I'll end now and go to the discussion posts.
