Woke up this a.m. and felt okay--not great, but not horrible. Got ready to go to work and was about to leave when the phone rang. It was a person from Ford Credit telling me that my oldest son had defaulted on his loan...again! I was so angry with him--since I co-signed the loan it is killing my credit rating and he could lose the vehicle. I am tired of bailing him out, but don't want him to lose the car! Anyway, I was feeling lousy (ill from this bronchitis) and just got really mad and yelled at this poor woman on the phone! That is not like me. I gave the phone to my husband and he got the necessary info.

Went off to school and had more 'prom' drama. I told my first class that I didn't want to hear anything regarding the 'P' word. They knew what I meant. I was so angry inside I felt like I was losing it. I didn't know what the **** was wrong, I just knew that I was on the verge...of something! Finally, by the end of the day, when I had gotten rid of the anger and allowed myself to just calm down and become more positive, I figured out why I was so nuts. I had taken two prednisone yesterday to help me breathe and I had neglected to take the 2nd dose today! These steroids, even the smaller dose in pill form, are nasty business--at least for me.

Just when I thought that the prednisone was 'out of my system,' my husband, youngest son, and myself had to attend a restorative justice meeting so that my son could meet face to face with the people his crime spree had affected. I was very pleased with how he acted--very respectful, thoughtful, and caring. He expressed his sorrow at what he had done. I was hoping that this was what would happen. I think the idea of restorative justice is excellent! But...then I made an idiot out of myself...steroids again....let's see how crazy we can make this woman by going from really, really mad to very, very sad! As soon as the restitution amounts were mentioned (it wasn't like this was a big surprise), I started thinking about our attorney fee which is close to $5,000.00 and now another $1,000.00 or double that if Jack's 'partner in crime' doesn't pay his share (then we get to pay for it all). I started to get all teary and well, let's just say I acted like an idiot and used (or at least tried) MS to my advantage. It didn't work and I am glad as I am ashamed that I did that! What is wrong with me?

A rather humorous moment though, saved the 'day' so to speak. The guy in charge of the Restorative Justice program said that my son and his 'partner' had taken pictures of themselves on one of the cell phones (that had a camera) they took! My son is a really dumb crook! Well, better a dumb crook than a smart crook or he wouldn't have been caught. I'm so glad that he was caught so that we could intervene. This whole nightmare has been quite educational and stressful. Sitting in there, I thought I might throw up. I wanted to just run out of there, but curbed the impulse. Still, I made an idiot out of myself. Can't blame that on the MS, but maybe the steroids?

Well, it's Friday evening and I am relaxing. Decided NOT to take my injection tonight--I need a break--and I feel that I should give my bronchitis or whatever it is another day so that I don't pile the Avonex flu on top of what I already have. I'll take it tomorrow evening. By then, the antibiotics will have been in my system for four days.

Until later...

Those steroids do major things to our emotions! Sorry you had to go thru that!! You have your hands, & mind full, I\'m not surprized you had a meltdown. Hopefully this is the start of a new beginning for your son! Thank God he was a dumb crook!!! My son had his problems too, & thankfully learned after 6 months in a training school. Reaked havoc on me, & my emotions too, but he came thru it a better person! Hang in there Michelle! You are in my thoughts. Love Ya, Peg
