I did it again. I don't think I will ever learn! Now I am paying the price. Just got back from the clinic and sure enough, have some kind of sinus and upper respitory infection. I've felt pretty rotten all day. I did it to myself, though, by running myself down to nothing. This past weekend I washed clothes, did gardening, had the 'avonex' flu, picked up and straightened up, corrected essays, and more...

Ah, me! Last night I took a nap for about two hours. Big mistake. I was awake enough to clean kitchen, take out all of the recycling, update the checkbooks, and pay bills. I was a month late paying the bills which rarely happens, but sometimes there is just so much going on!

So last night I actually got around 2 hours of sleep. Not good. But...I'm taking tomorrow off--sick day---and I am sick. Plan to sleep, sleep, sleep!

Tonight though, I managed to squeeze in the clinic appt. between my last class and computer lab supervisor duties (voluntary and pays well). Then, I have students coming for make-up and late speeches. Eventually, I will get home. Better do some sub plans. Thank goodness I prepped the kids so well on Monday so that they can just work on their projects tomorrow. Easy plans!

I need to try to remember to call my neuro and tell him about the chest pains that are probably caused by Avonex and see what I should do? They're not constants, but come intermittently, especially when I take a deep breath. At least they are on the right side and not on the left. Hmmmmm.... I really don't want to get off the Avonex unless there is another medication that I would respond well to.

Please, pharmasicts and research scientists, develop a medication for MS that is not injectible! Make it something to swallow! I so dread the injections. At least now I know what they sometimes hurt like the dickens (needle hits a small nerve cluster).

Wow Michelle, you are one busy lady!!! No wonder you are sick! I hope you do get some good rest on your sick day, make sure it\'s that! I did read in my inside MS magazine, that meds to swallow instead of injectibles are right around the corner! Which corner I don\'t know!!! Hope you feel better soon! Love ya, Peg
