I'm back to work full time, five days a week. I'm taking an online graduate class and it is so much work! It's only supposed to take 3-4 hours per week. I think NOT! Let's try 8-10 hours.

I have been tired this week, but also pleased that I have been able to keep up...well, somewhat. As usual I am behind on correcting papers--so what else is new?

Yesterday I heard from my advisor that I hadn't submitted all of my paperwork so my internship for next year was not approved. She said I could still get it approved if I got the paperwork in very soon. I went to the site with the paperwork and was nearly overwhelmed with all the work it required, letters I needed to get, and how much the internships will cost me! Not only will I have tuition to cover, but also the cost of the internship advisor and any travel expenses (which is a given since I'm 90 miles one way from the University). I want to finish my degree. I want to quit work. I don't want to quit work. I don't know what I want to do! I am soooooo frustrated. I feel valued at work. I guess I need to really evaluate WHY I want this degree and if I think I will actually use it. I think that I would probably consider myself a failure if I didn't finish it. But it would be nice just to enjoy life while I still can, right? Oh, I wish I knew what to do. Just making a decision would take some of the stress off of me.

I had no idea that I was going to write so much and I didn't realize how these feelings have been piling up so I am very greatful for this journal site! Thank-you again, Daily Strength!

I think that whether you\'ll use it or not, the real question is what does this new learning situation provide for you health wise. It stimulates your mind, keeps you engaged in something you love, it motivates you...you are teacher and a learner!! And I think that although you may be frustrated the learning in life IS your enjoyment.

Thanks to each of you for your support and comments. You\'ve given me some things to consider. Right now, I\'ve decided to continue to pursue the degree. I may change my mind again, but once I register for classes,I\'ll stick with my decision. I\'m only taking two classes this summer--which will be more than enough. Last summer I took four and it was so hard to keep up with all of it.

Later, friends!
