This is an up and down day. The achiness from the Avonex has been wonderfully controlled thanks to ibuprofen. Memory is not very good, however! It took me several minutes to remember the last name of someone I've known for years! It also took me several minutes to remember the name of another person--couldn't even remember her first name, let alone her last name!

I am pretty sluggish...tired....but I can't take a nap as I have three phone calls coming in...at least I hope they call back so that I can get Jack's appts. all set up and can cross that off my list.

Today I am feeling a little down which really irritates me because I want to stay positive!!! I think the depressed feeling is due to the Avonex, or stress, or MS...just pick one!

I know I am complaining. Still, it feels good to vent. This journal is a good idea for keeping track of my symptoms--especially with my memory lately!!

I'm sure things will look up again after I have a nap. I have an article to write yet and way too many papers to correct, never mind the housework. Sometimes teaching just seems to take up my entire life and I really resent it.

I know I'll pick up my mood later! So...until then.

Hi Penny,

I did do a comment yesterday, but then I somehow lost it and didn\'t want to start it all over again. Yes, I definitely appreciate your messages and hope that you will continue. It is so nice to have another person to talk to about MS. Usually I don\'t have time to get to my \'personal\' email or the DS website until evening and sometimes it is so late that I am just too tired to check it. So if it is a couple or a few days, I\'m here!

Hope your days are good! I checked out the book Sweet Misery and plan to purchase it. It looks quite interesting and I am one who drinks a lot of diet pop! I had no idea about the connection b/t aspertaime and MS! Wow! It seems like everything I can eat or drink is taboo for some reason or another. I am already limited due to diabetes, and now my diet pop!

Take care---sorry I was so long in getting back to you; it\'s not that I don\'t appreciate your suggestions--I welcome them! Thanks so much!
