I am worried about my son. He is 15 years old and was sent to the YCC. I wish law enforcement would take into consideration mental health issues!

I know that he is fearful and doesn't understand why he is there. In the meantime, his JDS caseworker left work Friday with a headache so could not keep her appt. with us to give us the info. we need to contact him! She didn't work Saturday, Sunday, or today either. Hopefully, we will be able to meet with her tomorrow.

My son has RAD, mood disorder, ADHD, and depression. It doesn't seem fair that a young person should have to deal with so much! What really makes me mad is that his co-conspirator basically got off scott free! It is so unfair. I know I need to forgive and get on with life, but the hurt inside from my child being taken is deep. If I feel this way, how must he feel? He needs to be accountable for what he did--absolutely! But this, this is too much--especially since it is the first time he's ever been in trouble. The other kid is older and has been in trouble before. I just don't get it!

Okay, now that I've ranted, maybe I will get some peace. I know that I must 'let go and let God' or the stress may just kick my MS back into full action.

I'm still at work and have another full day tomorrow. I need to go home, rest, and start a new semester with all new kids tomorrow. At least I acomplished a great deal today.

I wish it were summer. I wish it weren't 20 below zero outside. Thank goodness for my car's autostart!
