I wonder, sometimes, if a necessary part of drive and commitment might be faith. If we equate our 'self' with the job or interview, does that diminish us as a person when we lose 'this round'?I know, as I have looked for work, that I feel poorly after a failed interview. My egoism seems to carry me onward, with faith in myself and the Lord, past these obstacles. I always seem to be able to say, and truly feel, "It wasn't right. It wasn't my time. It isn't the Lord's plan for me today."I don't know why I feel this way or do these things. Maybe my parents, the eternal, infernal optimists, raised me with a deep sense of self. Maybe I don't 'see' things like others do. Even when unemployment checks have run out, and interviews suck, I still push onward. One negative event is just that. Even a string of negative events are truly just single events. Each one has different 'actors' and different situations. No string of catastrophes is the responsibility of one individual.

Gosh your so right. My anger gets my thinking all unbalanced. 1+1 always equals 2. I know why I have anxiety and depression, I just have to be patient for the Lords time for me to move on. We watch look and listen and try and be faithful.
