Since You Asked:-In Mental Health Disorders, as in many things, we grieve a loss of sorts. We lose our security, our sense of the world, and our sense of justice. This process is unfamiliar to many of us, especially anger.-Anger is an emotion many of us are taught to supress. In many trauma cases, we are taught by our tormentors that we are not supposed to be angry. That if we are angry it should be with ourselves for 'doing this' to them (note the reality reversal).-Anger Management: The term anger management commonly refers to a system of psychological therapeutic techniques and exercises by which one with excessive or uncontrollable anger can control or reduce the triggers, degrees, and effects of an angered emotional state.-In short: Therapy (talk about it, beat up a pillow, for rednecks: plink some cans), getting to the root cause (openly admitting where you are coming from), see if you can understand where the 'jerk du jour' is coming from (why is this person speaking this way? why does it make me so angry? maybe he is in the same boat as me? maybe I'm triggering him the way he triggers me?).http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anger_management#Methods_of_anger_managementDS"The facts expressed here belong to everybody, the opinions to me. Yup,supressed anger, that\'s me. My son says that trying to deny things is like putting things in a metal box and dropping it in a well. sooner or later the metal will rust and things will begin to leek out and sneak up on us when we least expect it.
So then, when I least expect it, things just sort of float to the surface and then - Boom! it\'s so nice to know people whoe \"get it\". thanks
