Locomotive Breath

In the shuffling madness of the locomotive breath
Runs the all-time loser, headlong to his death, oh
He feels the piston scraping, steam breaking on his brow
Old Charlie stole the handle and the train, it won't stop going
No way to slow down, oh

He sees his children jumping off at stations one by one
His woman and his best friend, in bed and having fun, oh
He's crawling down the corridor on his hands and knees
Old Charlie stole the handle and the train, it won't stop going
No way to slow down, yeah

He hears the silence howling, catches angels as they fall
And the all-time winner has got him by the balls, oh
He picks up Gideon's Bible, open at page one
I think that God, He stole the handle and the train, it won't stop going

No way to slow down, no way to slow down, no way to slow down, no way to
slow down
No way to slow down, no way to slow down, no way to slow down

Yes, it\'s definitely Jethro Tull! Remember it well! Man, that guy could play the flute! Pure genius.

I just joined this and would like to meet people that uderstand. I am a recovering alcoholic and was diagnosed with PTSD when I was in treatment. I was a healthcare worker for 15 years and find it had to talk to people about what I\'ve seen or gone through. I would like advise about how to find treatment for this. thanks

Wow, I own the original \"Aqualung\" vinyl record by Jethro Tull, I think it was released in 1972 or 1973. Locomotive Breath was a good song.
