I finished my degree after the attack. I changed major. I got a BA.
Everything was different, but the same.
Everything was confused, but clear.

Like a funhouse mirror, it all looks vaguely familiar, but I can't quite make out the image.

It all resurfaces every time I look in the mirror and see the face my attackers made for me.

I go through something similar...my attacker cut out some of my hair ( and took it with him ) and slit my forehead. Even though I know conciously that there is not a bloody wound there anymore...I see it everytime I look at myself. I watch the hunk of hair he cut try to catch up with the rest of my long hair...and have to stop myself from wondering what became of that long, thick piece of me.
But I want to say that even though I don\'t know what you look like... from everything I\'ve read that you\'ve written to others...you are a caring and wonderful person.
P.S....I changed my major after my attack too...interesting coincidence;)
All I know is that if your kindness flows through your words this much, I\'m sure it\'s what those who know you see when they look at you.
You are in my thoughts, Lily
