One day, many years ago while partying on the *** house roof, I told my (fraternity) brother about my trust issues.

He said, 'You shouldn't worry about trust. You should worry about others actions.' and then threw me over the edge.

I remember how clear it all was for just that moment. I can never thank him enough. Do I trust him? Yes. I learned to trust him to be himself, not who I /want/ him to be.

I learned to see that everyone will 'be themselves' in any given moment. I learned to see who they are, and to allow them to be who they are. It's my choice to interact, to go out, to stay in, to drive, to fly, to breathe.

I chose to be alive.

Awesome sauce! Thanx 4 sharing that:0) My best friend says the same and it\'s a great reminder, she says each day it all boils down 2 1 choice: get up and live or lay down and die.Knowing this does not change the fact that some days I am just not strong(emotionally, spiritually, mentally or physically)enough to lift my body from my bed.Sometimes I think I need to install an eject button on my bed. That is sooo true-n the 3rd paragraph.I\'m goin thru a lot of family of origin stuff, where I must define and assert boundaries which are perpetually violated. There can b no love without trust. It will be hard 2 sever the ties, but part of loving people is loving them rite where there @ & not expecting them to change.Even if that means I may only love them @ a distance.Thanx 4 your insight-I needed to b reminded of that daily choice.
