There;s this guy that changes everything I say into something worse and then 'responds' to the thing I didn't say. Its a form of attack, but subtle. It sets me off PTSD-wise, but so far, I am refusing to take the bait.

How long can I hold out? I dunno.

Is it harder with PTSD? I think so.

i\'m with you about dummb people, on the other hand, some of them don\'t know any better. sounds like this guy doesn\'t want to discuss what you want/need to he wants to change it to what he wants. it is a form of attack, under the best defense is a good offense, school of thought. and yes, i think the ptsd makes those situations harder, at least for me. the worst thing is when no one listens and trys to take control...at least for me. is there any way you can calmly ask him if he didn\'t understaqnd what you said, to get him back on track? maybe \"that really doesn\'t seem to be relavent, did you misundertand my point of XXXXX? and then if he goes off his own way again, ask him, in a calm voice (which is always the hardest part for me) if he is deliberatly changing the subject, and why? of course this is just my thoughts, and only you know if you can/could/should try this. When i feel that i\'m not being listened too, i ususally cry, as that feeling of helplessness is one of my triggers, and that my parents didn\'t believe me when I said I\'d been raped. did I just digress into my own past? sorry. I\'ve had sucess with the above advice, only once, but it was when i had no emotional attachment to the outcome....I\'ll get off my soapbox now. Mostly I wish you peace and happiness. you deserve it.

You are called to be an eagle that soars and does great things. But, throughout life there will always be a few crows crowing at you and trying to bring you down. Sometimes there will be a few hawks that try to argue with you, fight with you and distract you. Your job is to rise above all of those voices and strive towards your God-given calling. When the crow is pestering the eagle, the eagle simply flies up higher. He knows the crow cannot live at his altitude and he does not have to fight with the eagle. God made the eagle to spread his wings out, catch the thermal winds and soar higher than the crow. In the same way, when people mistreat you or when unfair things happen, if youll stay on the high road, then God will take care of the rest.
