It's spring. Time for rejuvenation, flowers and reconnecting with nature. Went for a hike on mothers day with Nick (husband) and Dixie (rescue dog). I was so proud when I made it to the top, even happier when I made it to the bottom! I was waving my arms singing the praises of nature, when a tree root, no larger than 1/2", grabbed my toe and brought me down!! I was shocked. 1500 feet, no problem. 10' to my car and down I go. Oh well, nothing really bruised but my ego.
There is something magical about being in a forest with the smell of pine the sound of birds and water and the sun in the sky. It really does fill your heart with a feeling of joy and brings a feeling of confidence to tackling the new day ahead. Just avoid the roots!
Happy day to all.
