Wow, the out-of-town relatives are still trickling in! This past weekend, my aunt and uncle were in town for a few days. The aunt is my mother's sister, and they haven't seen one another since last Easter. They enjoyed visiting Saturday. My mom has Parkinson's Disease, and is not able to get out and about alot these days, and always enjoys company. She has 2 brothers and 5 sisters. She and the aunt that visited have always been close. They talk on the phone fairly often, but the 'in person' visits mean alot to her! The aunt's daughter (my cousin), who lives about 30 minutes from here, was with her. We kinda grew up together, so we spent most of the day together, too. When we were small and misbehaved, I can remember our punishment....we had to sit on the couch until we could behave again! We did alot of sitting on the couch! ha!It's getting cooler here....days in the 70's and nights in the 40's. I love the fall season, and the beautiful colors of nature as the leaves change colors. I live about an hour away from the Blue Ridge Parkway, but I can't drive that distance now. Maybe some of these relatives that keep popping up will be making a trip that way while they are here! That's my favorite place to visit. Haven't been in quite some time. There are fall festivals about every weekend. I used to go to all of them, but can't seem to do that very much now. One of these days..........
