Christian Soldiers
There are some Pastors who are flamboyant, they are showmen through and through,
They stand center stage, they laugh, they joke and then reach out to you.
They have a light that cannot be confined and like a beacon in the dark,
It exposes the sin and call to account the cold and selfish heart.
Some Pastors don't like the limelight but are vital non the less,
For it is to the quiet man that the battered sinner will confess.
This Pastor picks up the pieces of a shattered, worthless life,
And gently places the jagged fragments together like a surgeon with a simple knife.
But he doesn't there – for his job has just begun,
He will be as faithful as the rising of the sun.
There will be months of quiet yalks and then a closing prayer,
With the gentle reassurances “If you need me I'll be here”
The charsmatic Pastors are the Spiritual Warriors of the world, this is very true,
But it is the quiet man of God who will always see you through.
