Coming to the end of the initial healing now. The AKA was 5 weeks ago and today I will get my first liner. Next week the first socket and the C-Leg and foot will arrive. Iam feeling a little groggy form the Soboxone I am taking. Soboxone is what they use now to get you off morphine if you are addicted, and I've been on over 130MG a day for more than a year. I've kicked before and it was never this easy, just a little wonkey beats the hell out of sweating an beating it out. Zippidey doo da. Anyway, --next week-- off to the parallel bars and learn to walk again. I quess it doesn't get any better than that.

Hey, I\'m very interested in how you like and adjust to your C-leg, as I\'m going to be getting a C-leg with a Trias foot this coming September! Hope adjustment to your new leg goes well!!
I will let you know next thurs. I can\'t remember the name of the foot but it\'s one of Otto Bok\'s. I am getting the quick release and the rotator as well. I have a long residuum and may have to forego the quick release feature if there is not enough room.
I\'m not familiar with the quick release feature, but the stationary rotator is a MUST! (wise choice!) I wouldn\'t live without it :)
The quick release is an adapter that fits to the socket so that by twisting and removing a pin, the whole leg can be removed and a different leg attached without messing around with the liner or the socket. I plan on eventually having a swim leg. The C-Leg has a microprocessor that is not waterproof!. This web link is for my foot, a Journey. Pretty cool toys. (;=)

Hi peterk....wishing you good luck......I had fallen over thirty feet onto concrete when I was 24.....went through a lot of pain and was addicted to morphine.It was easy for me to just stop because it was affecting bodily functions.I became an iron worker years after the accident.Now I do painting and carpentry.I guess we are both lucky to be alive.It amazing how the human body can adapt.Almost lost an arm but an amazing doctor patched me up and put me back in the game....keep the faith
