My birthday is fast approaching, oh and I'll be sooooooo old, but the profile thing on DS only goes up to 101!

I couldn't hink how to celebrate another year passing. So I've decided to take myself to France for a short while - a few days in Paris where I'll light a candle in Notre Dame for loved ones long, and not so long gone, and stroll along the banks of the Seine on calm summer evenings... or dash from tree to tree in the warm rain, it doesn't really matter. After that I'm heading down to the Loire valley to explore the chateaux and countryside where I spent many happy childhood years.

Hey, this will be my first time in France as "Monsieur Diabetique", and my French is a little rusty. How does one explain to a Maitre d'Hotel who is passionate about his menu that I have to watch the carbs and the sugar? Make gestures of someone injecting insulin or falling over...? Great, he'll think I'm some crazy man trying to sell him something to spice up his weekend!
