Do you need a lift?
I can recommend something that's even better than sugar! It's cheap and it's calorie free!
Get some time to yourself. Pack the kids off to the cinema, a friends house, the babysitter or whatever. Send your partner out shopping with your credit card. Tell your folks you're hibernating for the evening. Take the phone off the hook.
Now go and buy, rent, or borrow a copy of the 'Queen Live at Wembley 1986' DVD. Turn on the TV and put Disc #1 in the player and.... ENJOY!
Trust me on this one.
Ok I'll admit I wasn't the world's biggest Queen fan and I couldn't name all their hits, but this concert is special. Freddie's energy, talent and sheer showmanship can carry you along, make you forget your worries for a while, unwind and even get emotional! Sing, dance, play air-guitar or just sit and soak it in. You don't have to be a huge Queen fan, just take a little time out for yourself and let the atmosphere help get you to where you want to be.
Music can help with all matter of ills. I used to draw until my hands packed up, but maybe as one door closes another opens. Drawing was a quiet, relaxing and solitary affair for me which I enjoyed immensely. And now music fills that space =:o)
Sorry Freddie is no longer here.
