5 Ways To Creatively Handle Stress And Stay In Shape

Think now of a Karate dojo. In a dojo, the sensei gives you an opponent to fight with. But your opponent is not really an opponent. He or she is there simply to give you a framework through which to test yourself. In a dojo, you get to discover and learn about yourself, your flexibility, focus, potential, and so on. You rapidly do so using the illusion of having an opponent to beat, go back and train, so you can come back and beat. But in reality, the dojo is merely a place where you can work on your inside. The externals, such as the opponent, merely give you a frame of reference to work on your inside. And the better you get inside, the more you master outside.

Meditation is actually just the art of focusing 100% of your attention in one area. Although it does take some practice, just like everything else in life, it couldn't be easier to begin, and once a beginning is made, it becomes easier each time we practice.

You can create your very own adventure for your child by first observing what he enjoys the most. What are some of favorite activities and subjects for your child? Depending on age, this may be fairies and Ferris wheels, or knights and castles. Create the scenario and allow it to unfold as you tell it. As your story adventure unfolds with your child, add elements of character values and nobleness to the mix which will inspire your child. Ask your child to "watch" as he embodies all the goodness and peace you are seeking to incorporate in his life. Ask your child to really feel it. Continue with the short story until you come to a natural conclusion, encouraging your child to bring back feelings of peace, calm and good as sleep time approaches.

OK, time out! I am not in any way saying that the meditation I share are on par with that example! Get real. But here's what I am saying. He responded to the question "How do I do it?" with a clear example to follow.
