....and then it was my birthday.it's already come and gone and i barely even noticed it. i have been so busy - with work, primarily, and also life - that i barely register the weeks and months flying by. life is good, to be sure - everyone's generally healthy and happy - but we (wife and i) are just exhausted. she went to sleep at 8pm tonight, as soon as the kids were in bed, whereas i'm stupid and i stay up until 11ish. of course, at 6am tomorrow, the kids will start waking up, and it'll be another day of kids/work/kids/watch tv.so there you go. i've made some promises to myself for my 37th year, but i'm trying not to get in everyone's faces about it, and instead focus on accomplishing it.one thing that i'm disappointed in is my inability to get exercise right now. the kids wake up at 6, and it's hard to get out of the house before 7. if i do go running, i'll miss seeing my daughter off to school (and sometimes i'm responsible for the carpool), and i actually like family time in the AM. the middle of the day is completely off-limits - i'm only really in the office from 9-5, and i don't have a spare second, let alone an hour to work out (and what about lunch?). and after work...? well, the minute i get home it's dinnertime, and it's nice to actually see my wife for a bit.ok, as i write this, i'm thinking that maybe i'll just suck it up and wake up at 630 every morning. run until 7, be home to hang with everyone after that. screw it. who needs sleep.ok enough bitching. saw lenny kravitz last night - geez, that guy looks good for 43.

Lol,Lenny doesnt have small children to rear like you,my friend.Could you wake as early as 5,sneak in run?You know the day will come the kids will be grown, choosing them in mornings over exercise, makes you a super hero in my book. You having a family like you do,molds you a very rich man, blessed my friend, much blessed.
My vote is get up early to exercise, and be back before the kids go to school. The mornings are always very rushed so it\'s not like that is good quality hang time, so let Luvee help get them ready more, you got the help, use it. Also, maybe you should join us for the triathlon - good motivation to exercise. Always nice to have something to train for. We are thinking of maybe doing the swim at around 4:30 or 5:00 on evening a week, and that\'s only for an hour so you could still get home and have dinner with your kids.
Totally, exercise is possible if you make it a priority, of course, I recognize that\'s easy for me to say cause\' I don\'t have kids. But it\'s hard for everyone, there\'s always something more important to do. However, being a healthy dad is just as important as being dad who\'s around to spend quality time with-

Happy Belated Birthday Dude!!! Ahhh. to be 37 again...and know what I know now!! laff
Do you have a treadmill? If not, that might be a way to be at home and still get exercise.
Anyway, remember how short life can be and that your family should be first (after Jesus).
Love and hugs,
Carrie
how about a bicycle trainer? you can be at the house (around the little ones), and still get a solid aerobic workout.
