hey all - a quick update to my post from last night. we have made some changes to the advertisers that are appearing on the site, and so far, we're seeing far more community-appropriate ads. we'll continue to monitor the situation, but i'm hoping that generally, you'll see better quality ads from today onwards. we have seen some instances where the "new" ads are a little bit more 'blinky' than we'd like, and one ad that triggers sounds when the page loads. we don't like 'em either, and i'll look into seeing what we can do to remove them. doug

Thanks for the update, Doug. I really appreciate what DS is doing. DS is my online home. No other site comes close to what DS is all about. I posted an entry letting everyone know that I\'d appreciate if we all clicked at least once a day on the sidebar ads.

I completely understand the need to have them there - a site like this is not cheap by any means. Glad to see that the ads will be a little more appropriate though. Thankyou for addressing the concern, and keep up the good work!
