thought i'd give y'all a photo tour of some of the best moments of the recent few days.

Here's the temperature on Sunday, as we drove out to pick up the kids, who had slept over at their (much hotter) grandparent's place last monday. Yeah, that's 111 degrees. I pretty much melted, but we had a great weekend anyway.

pg_901646302.jpgHere's the newest addition to our family - Lila! - sitting on K's lap. Lila is my sister's beautiful and chill new daughter. She's about 2 weeks old now, but having her around has brought us all closer together and reminded me how fast our lives are passing by.

pg_2073848819.jpgHere's Z when we went to go see HAIRSPRAY because it was 111 degrees outside, and I gotta say that both kids just loved this movie. Like their Dad, I guess they're just suckers for musicals.

pg_1348099235.jpgHere's K at her first day of elementary school (!!!) which we just dropped her off at. I was definitely feeling all mushy inside over the last few days, but today, it was just really darn cute to see her and her friends marching about the playground and exploring their new space.

pg_938300205.jpgAnd finally, here's K moving her name from the "Absent" side of the board to "Here", with her new teacher. She's finally "here"....wow.

Wow!! Your children have grown so much in the year I have been on here!! I can\'t believe how beautiful your daughter is!!! Do not cut that gorgeous hair! Yep, it has been a hot one and we actually reached that with the heat index a couple of times here this year. Thank God for A/C right? Enjoy every second of the children\'s young years-they grow into teens and adults like a blink of an eye. Hugs, Robbin
