Current weight: 185.0Running Time (2.4 mile loop):  21:00So much for working out. Ran this AM, really pushed myself, and I'm still holding fast at 185.My focus for the week is to cut down the carbs. I think that alone could bring me back to the 180 range. I would be so, so happy to touch the 170's again. As I said previously, I feel like I'm in decent shape - not terrific, but I'm definitely sweating a few times a week; it's the food that's getting me.Camping this weekend, so stay tuned for an update.

Hey, DJH.... Lbs...could be new muscle pounds!!! Our bodies do this kind of thing. You know you\'re workin on it and improving. Consider not obsessing. It could be gooooooddd lbs!!! Body\'s gotta fluctuate.
I\'m w/ya! Go, runner, go. Don\'t overdo and remember: stretch before and after! (i used to run 6 mi per day/daily...one day off per wk). Best,
Val

try some other cardio intense activities like biking, wait did i say biking! you sit down most of the time and your cardio gets worked hard... legs get bigger but when the body looks around for something to run-the-motor-on and doesn\'t find carbs then it just burns up the fats. swimming is good as well, at least there\'s less perception of sweating and results show up quickly. moderation, how could anyone say no to good bread and olive oil... and a glass of red wine for us adults. cheers bb

Be careful about cutting the carbs. See my response to a post in the Healthy Eating community wherein I discuss the necessity of \"carbing\" up before exercise. Choose complex carbs vs. simple carbs. They burn more efficiently. Simple carbs convert to fat more quickly, thus causing weight gain and cholersterol problems. Without carbs, you run the risk of burning precious lean muscle which cannot replace itself. Moderation is key.

Things will get better. When combined Nutriton and healthy eating, working out really shows.
