Today was tough. Really tough. The morning was OK...hung out at home with the kids. K is pretty much over the chicken pox, and all that remains is alot of newfound grumpiness. It's like suddenly she's decided that she's going to get all spoiled and bratty on us, and C and I ain't having any of it. But it's tiring to keep fighting and correcting her. Meanwhile, Z just seemed out of it...grumpy, tired and kinda sluggish...and he's had diahrrea for a few days...but we didn't think much of it.We walked to lunch, but no one was having much of it, and Z seemed kinda hot, so we walked home and then all napped together (K and me on top bunk, C and Z on the bottom). Z's temp was 103, which, if you've read my previous journals, means that he's in seizure territory, so we needed to be on guard. The napping was kinda cute...then we woke up and went to the mall to see Ratatouille with some friends.Thats where things got much less fun. First of all, the movie wasn't great...not bad, but much more 'talky' than previous Pixar films and both the kids and I weren't really into it. Z, meanwhile, was feeling very hot and actually fell asleep towards the end. Our friends then invited us to dinner with them at the mall, but Z was feeling very hot so I decided we should go home. I put him on my shoulders and we headed for the exit....when he suddenly threw up. On my head. And then did it again. And then I put him on the ground, where he threw up 3 more times. It was everywhere. Nice souls were coming over offering towels, even their sweaters, but there was nothing to do except watch him empty his stomach and then try to mop up. I had popcorn and lunch in my hair, and it was really stinky. Meanwhile, K was bawling and terrified, and only worried about herself, of course. So we got in our brand new, still-has-the-new-car-smell car, except two of us were covered in puke and I was driving shirtless. We got home, put him to bed, made some dinner. Phew.I guess this day's not all bad - I'm watching fireworks out my bedroom window as I write this. But I've showered 3 times (really) and shampooed my hair 8 times (really) and I still stink. Ugh.

Im sorry your day went bad. I hope Z is feeling better, that must have been quite an experience for someone to throw up on your head. Its interesting to see kids still getting the chicken pox, I didnt know it still existed. I remember when I was little I got them but that was awhile ago, I was like 5.
oh nooooo, i feel for you...I\'ve not been in SUCH close quaters to puke before, but i had my share last nite..I have my niece for the week too and my youngest was awake all nite throwing up, and my son was up in his room being sick too...so we had a bit of a barfarama going on here lol.
Consequently i was very tired this afternoon, still am actually..hopefully round 2 wont start tonite.
I hope the kids pick up soon
Poor little Z . . . I hope there were no seizures . . .
This sounds alot like what my grandson has to go through. He started having seisures at only 3 months old. He\'s 5 now and they\'re still trying to get full control with medication. I\'ll have to come back to your page more often (I just found it today) I like the way you tell your family stories. God bless you & your family,
Robyn
Ah pauvre cito. (Poor little thing en Espanol) I know exactly how you feel! When my little one was a little bambina, she was sick and I was rocking her, and she threw up in my face and hair. Glasses and all! I was totally covered in puke! I sympathsize. I hope you are feelin better now.

I went to pick her up and put her in her crib, she seemed like she was going to doze, right then and there was when she took aim. That\'s how she got a face shot of puke all over me! I reeked. It didn\'t matter how much I washed, I still stunk for a while. =)
