it's not a big event, but it feels like it to us:

K's having her first official "sleepover" tonight at Kira's. As my wife so astutely points out, K's not freaked out about it...but I am. So I have to keep catching myself from saying "Don't worry...it's OK...if you want to come home, you can..." which would simply freak her out and not help the problem.

It's 945 and we haven't gotten a call from Kira's mom yet...so my guess is they're still whispering and goofing around in bed.

Tomorrow morning I get Z to myself for a few hours...I'm very much looking forward to it. He's become quite the little charmer, with all his new words, his beautiful smile, and of course, his dashing looks.

K, meanwhile, is hitting the "Frustrating Fives", as I've just coined it. She seems to have learned how to lie overnight, so we can't trust her answers to everything, and she's quick to the draw with complaints about others, even her good friends. Plus, she seems to have become a bit spoiled, something C and I are very sensitive to.

Anyway, a fun kiddie weekend ahead...!

I think they finally fell asleep around 10:00 after talking in bed for an hour and a half. All is good. They look so cute. The night light is on and the door is open. Hopefully Kira stays in there all night.

I remember giving one little \"first timer\" use our transistor radion and earphones to listen to so he could get to sleep. Hugs, Jazzy
