I've never felt like this before in my life.
Sure, i suppose i'm being a bit redundant to my previous posts, but i've never felt so simultaneously stressed out and yet completely satisfied in my life. It's such an odd feeling to complain, and yet at the same time know underneath it all, that things are actually really, really good.
So tonight's post (it's almost 2am here) is about my kids and my family. i'm back from the napa wedding now, where my sis got married and family gathered yet again. it only occurred to me during the dinner part of the wedding that i, as well as my sister, had inherited a family...a big one at that. that's kinda nice.
Kaya has just become a never-ending source of fascination, and sometimes frustration. There are things that she continually impresses us with - her recent artwork, for example, which has been fascinating, and her amazing memory of even minor details of events. Meanwhile, she can't seem to keep her bed dry for a single moment. Go figure.
Zade, on the other hand, is just the cutest kid you'll ever meet, and for me, at least, I'm just blinded by the fact that I had anything to do with something so beautiful.
I will say that Cho has been long concerned about Z's lack of speech, and while I've been less concerned, it's something we need to watch and work on, as he's now 2 years old and barely speaking.
I'm rambling because, well, that's what you do at 2am. My diet is currently crap...my exercise regimen non-existent...but for the moment, I'm semi-OK with that. I will try to exercise later this week.

Your kids sound great! All kids talk in their own time! One day Z will probably just bust out in a monolog!!!! Kids are blessings and i often wonder how I had anything to do with it! Live it up Doug! You deserve it! Lollie
doug, our son turned 2 in Sept and he\'s not speaking that much either. a lot of boys seem to follow this path. worth keeping an eye on, but not to stress over. at least not until he starts cussing you guys out when he\'s a teener. ;)
