OK, that's bad news.
It's especially frustrating because I've actually managed to work in a fair bit of exercise. I did a huge hike today in the middle of a hot hot day, I did a 3 mile walk yesterday, and I'm playing soccer tomorrow. I'm not sure how much more active I can be.
I have NOT been eating great, but I haven't been going nuts either. I had a reasonable lunch (survived a birthday party without eating a single bite of pizza or other crap) and a generally OK last few days. Hrmph.
My wife says that perhaps I'm building muscle, which supposedly weighs more than fat. Sure, maybe that's true, but I doubt I've gained 3-4 pounds of muscle in as many days.
Now granted, I'm feeling pretty good, I feel like I look slightly thinner, and it just feels good to exercise. So all is not lost. I will continue to try, and we'll see what happens.

Hi Doug, Dieting is always going to be hard. But in the long run it is going to be well worth it. I work for a Chiropractor and he is all about health. He has got me on a program to lose weight. And it has helped me alot!!!
It very hard not to eat. When you have a sick child and her diet is to eat all the fatty foods so she can gain weight and I have to eat all that food too! So It is very hard. All I can say is keep up the good work and don\'t give up.

hey, get a backpack for young Zade, you can get them from hiking stores. I used one with my 4 year old and it really helped build strength and aerobic fitness going up hills.
Dieting is good, but you\'re on the right track with exercise. It\'s really the only healthy and reliable way of losing weight. Some people diet and they end up starving themselves, or finding they don\'t lose weight because the body works to preserve what it still has. The most important thing about anything weight control program is consistency over time. The body needs to really believe that you have changed your habits and it will adapt to more effort, less calories and you\'ll naturally lose weight in the process. Keep at it and don\'t quit! And no matter what, you\'re a hottie in my book!
you going to come run with me? I have been sick for two and a half weeks so, now that I am off antibiotics, lets hit the treadmill.
